Dr. Christy Layton, our Chief of Staff, grew up in Plant City, Florida, with her parents Ron & Barbara Layton and her sisters Renee’ & Leisa. Dr. Layton always knew that she wanted to return to open a state of the art veterinary and boarding facility in her home town. After working her way through high school and college as a veterinary technician, she graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology and minor in Agribusiness Management. She also earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 2001.

Upon graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Layton worked at Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital in Valrico before finally achieving her long term dream of serving the Plant City community as a veterinarian. She opened Timberlane Pet Hospital & Resort in October 2006.

Dr. Andrea Nall grew up in Atmore, Alabama where she held her first position in veterinary medicine as a technician and kennel assistant. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Nutrition Science at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. After college she attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for two years of further education while working as a veterinary technician. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2019 and began working for Timberlane Veterinary Hospital & Resort.

Outside of work, Dr. Nall enjoys running, biking, gardening, reading and going to new places. She has two cats: Ms. Money Penny and Gypsie Danger.
